About DJ Smooth-B

Sam grew up listening to a variety of music in the 80’s and 90’s and enjoyed listening to hot mixes every weekend on the local radio stations. He would record the music on cassette tapes from the radio, making his own mix tapes. From there he started mixing tracks with a radio shack mixer and two cd players, that he received on Christmas in 1992.

He spent his teenage years creating mix tapes, sharing them with friends, which led to deejaying his first wedding for a friend’s mother. The response was positive, as people began asking for a business card to deejay their events. In the early 2000’s, DJ Smooth-B pursued a steady gig in deejaying for Christian Skate Night at a local skating rink, where it’s monthly attendance grew from 8 to 250 on a Monday night.

Over the years Sam has deejayed: weddings, parties, community events, church services, DNOW events, dances, sock hops, home school proms and the International Voice Over conference in Atlanta Georgia.

DJ Smooth-B has knowledge of a wide variety of music and genres from the 1950’s to current radio hits. His goal is to help his clients have fun through clean entertainment, and doesn’t play willfully play explicit tracks. 

In addition to deejaying, he also emcees and can easily make announcements for your guests, as he has experience in emceeing various events including the Miss Georgia Pageant.
